The position was great and the view from the room was spectacular. The pool area was the best I have seen - great with life savers. The food was very good for the last few days - sftr we complained

The room is a bit tired. The service was poor and the cleanliness very bad - the shower had old cottonwool and ear buds left from the previous people. whe we complained it fell on deaf ears. The food for the 1st 2 meals was not edible. the crockery and cutlery were filthy - unhygeinic. The food was old- looked lik it had beem stting there for days. It had insects floating in it. We complained and fought and they refunded us the cost of the meals (dinner and breakfast) sfter a big fight. For a 5 star hotel they have a lot to learn. We had to carry our own bags to and from our room. Fro the price it was expensive and not worth it.

The outdoor facilities - Dead Sea, pool, concert location at Massada. The meals were great.

It's not far from Jerusalem and it's handy for Masada and a swim in the Sea

The reception staff at 4pm on 17th June '11 were disgraceful. First, I queued up and the woman receptionist says "No English," and just waved me away. When I queued up again I got a rude young man with a goatie beard. He insisted I pay tax even though my 2 sons who stayed with me and I all have British passports. When I when back to complain that the extra bed I had paid 40% extra for my 18 yr old son was not there the woman could suddenly speak English and she wanted me to pay for 2 rooms. Then the guy with the goatie joined in saying the room will be ready later but couldn't say when. I could tell by his attitude and facial expressions he was being rude to me in front of the Hebrew speaking guests behind me. Basically you know how to be rude, collect 40% and tax foreign passport holders but you don't know how to prepare room 1042

Decent quality of food - for a buffet meal. Large rooms.

There was no water in the shower at the hotel's private beach - simply ridiculous for an hotel of such class at the Dead Sea! Long queues at the reception at the check-out time (11 am). Sanitary equipment bears the traces of a cheap repair.

              5.0

Convenience to the Dead Sea, right across the street.

Staff hardly spoke English; totally unacceptable. Room was uncomfortably warm and way too expensive for what it was. Room did not seem totally clean. Check in process was awful, uncontrolled chaos.

              Leaving!

This was the worst hotel I have ever stayed in, period. The rooms were shabby. The guests were disgusting. The staff spoke almost exclusively Russian. The entire experience was one of uninterrupted rudeness and discomfort. I have already registered a complaint with the hotel. It was a waste of every cent (300 USD a night), a price that amounts to a sham!

Mud treatment and massage at the spa were excellent. The room spacious and clean, nice looking bathroom... But

Air conditioning was not working properly and the room was very hot, the water was leaking through a shower door while we took shower and balcony door was very hard to open and to close, we called front desk for help, after an hour and a half wait we went down ourself to ask - nobody knew we called... No other room were available at the moment and they promised to send us technician to fix our problems...We checked with them after dinner - nothing was done by that time and it was getting late, we were tired and wanted to rest. Talked to manager and he finally send us technician who didn't speak english, but was able to fix air... But he was working at the time we much prefer to be resting, so as you can imagine overall experience was disappointing

I liked the awesome view out of our window, lounge/cafe, my baby enjoyed the kiddie pool and entertainment center for kids.

For the price we payed (and on your site it said 5 star) we thought the room would be nicer and a little more updated

              4.2

This is the first review were I can't say anything positive about the hotel. Except the price of USD 360 a night via booking .com. everything else was far from the standad of a five star hotel! Do they sell stars at auctions in Israel? Specifics: Checkin / out: Spend 25 minutes queining. Our hope that somebody would look after our luggage was in vain and we had to lobb it around ourselves to the 16th floor. Room: Seems spacious, mainly because there isn't anything in it. We got one (1!) chair plus a tiny sidetable. Bathrobes and slippers are charged as extras! Meals: Dinner was dispensed at two fixed time 'sittings'. No a la carte facilities or restaurant. Breakfast was an apocalyptic event with hordes of budget tourists clogging the hall searching for tables free of food leftovers or trying to find a coffee or tea. Internet not working in the hall (it is a stand up screen!!). The business center can only be rented on a per day basis for USD 60 extra. Thus is hotel is 100% substandard

              Only the room

No service at arrival, very poor organisation management, very dirty restaurant, absolutely a nightmare and the wish to leave at the earliest.

Went to spa -- got a pedicure and the woman used a garbage can w/a bag in it to soak my feet - not very spa like for 180 nis!!

              The hotel is spascious.

The were renovations of which we were not aware. In particular, the business lounge, included in the price, was closed and more importantly, the inside pool with Dead-Sea water, the main reason to visit thet Dead-Sea in winter, was empty because of repair.

a well planned hotel with all activities conveniently located. beautifully kept grounds. a wonderful spa. large rooms, super bathroom.
